Rules

i. Signups

In order to participate in this exchange, you must:

• Be over the age of 18.


• Have an AO3 account, of which you may only use one (1) to sign up.


• Not be considered ineligible to participate, via misconduct or defaulting after the deadline for a previous Fang Frenzy.

ii. Assignments

The work you create for your assignment must:

• Be at least 500 words in length.


• Be fully completed before the deadline.


• Contain 1 or more vampires, or vampire-adjacent characters.


• Respect your recipient's DNWs.


• Be your own work, not written by AI or by someone other than you.

iii. Defaults and Dropping Out

The following information concerns defaulting, dropping out, or otherwise being unable to participate in Fang Frenzy.

• If you are no longer able to participate or need to drop out after assignments are out, go to your Assignments on AO3 and press the "Default" button.


• If you default at any point, you are no longer guaranteed to receive a gift. If your creator defaults on you, your signup will not be posted as a Pinch Hit.


• If you default before the deadline, you will receive no penalty other than the one stated above.


• If you default before the deadline two years in a row, you may become ineligible to participate in future Fang Frenzies.


• If you default after the deadline, you will be considered ineligible to participate in future Fang Frenzies. You can become eligible again by contacting a mod and requesting to restore your eligibility by completing a work for a prompt from the previous year.

iv. Conduct

While participating in Fang Frenzy and the exchange is ongoing, you must not:

• Disrespect, harass, or mistreat the mod or any other participants.


• Reveal details about your work or your recipient in public spaces.


• Post your work on another site, or to collections/series known to belong to you.


• Publicly identify yourself as the writer of your work.


• Try to contact your recipient, unless it is done through the mod.

If you do any of these things, you risk becoming ineligible to participate.
